The What platform is the perfect solution to help bring more local consumers to your business. However, there are many features and if you don’t take advantage of them, then you’re not making the most of our platform.

What’s Local
If a customer is looking for a business for a specific purpose, they will likely visit ‘What’s Local’.
This is where consumers can find all businesses that are listed on the platform and can learn more about them.
Top Tip: Make the most of your ‘Business Highlights’. What makes your business different from others? Put these things as your ‘Business Highlights’ and it will give the consumer a reason to click on your profile and learn more!
What Marketplace
When someone visits What to buy a product they will likely visit the ‘What Marketplace’. This is where they will be able to browse a list of all the current products up for sale on the platform.
Top Tip: Using a photo that clearly shows the product will help you get more attention on your listing. Also, try to grab the attention of customers by putting an exciting description!
What Recruitment
‘What Recruitment’ is where people will go to find job listings in the local area, which are posted by businesses on the platform.
Top Tip: When creating a listing, you have the ability to set two categories. Make sure to set these as accurate as possible because it will help get the job listing to the correct people.
What’s Happening
To keep up to date with all goings-on in their local area, consumers will visit ‘What’s Happening’. Local businesses have the opportunity to use this area to post news and updates, and consumers can then filter this news based on the type of business.
Top Tip: Try to post an update whenever you have something you want to tell your customers. Want to tell them about a new item on sale? A change in opening times? Do you want to tell them more about yourself? This is the place!
What’s On
‘What’s On’ is where businesses can post specific events and special dates. Consumers will use this as a calendar to see what is going on and when. You can also create private events with specific consumers, which is perfect for keeping track of appointments!
Top Tip: Try to fill in as much information as possible when creating an event as it will make it clearer to the consumer what is happening.
